I couldn’t believe the error message that I got this morning from Verizon’s website – this is a contact form that they have to request assistance about one’s account, and yet apparently whoever designed it must have a problem with contractions or something because what kind of programmer doesn’t escape special characters from a text field, instead demanding that the user simply “avoid using them” altogether?!
It took me as much time to go through and remove all of my apostrophes as it did to write the original message! Thank god I wasn’t actually emailing them about something that would require MATH because apparently those operators are on Verizon’s shit list, too! 😕
