Here’s an interesting, little documentary about why people play D&D – I think the comparisons the one guy makes between his gaming buddies and his football buddies is pretty telling of why all the stereotypes about people playing this game being sheltered and anti-social are ironic at best. Sure, half the fun is rolling dice and killing imaginary monsters, but it’s just as much about the company that you keep and being around people who actually embrace you for your eccentricities instead of judging them…
