LOL, literally! I’m reading through a list of “suggested romantic first dance songs” for the wedding and this one just jumped out to me as a bit of a no no:
13. “Every Breath You Take” (The Police)
Apparently I wasn’t the only person completely clueless to the fact that this song is about a stalker?! Not exactly how I want to share my first dance as husband and wife! Talk about creepy…
A personal sounding board for random brainstorming, ranting, musing, and rambling about life in general - that is what you see before you here today.

yyyyyyyyyeah, I would have to agree with you on that one. Even if it wasn’t creepily stalkerish, it’s like, super 80s also. I love that song, but for a classy wedding? mehhh.
We were gonna go with Ben Folds – “The Luckiest”. I’m sure that doesn’t help, but I figured I’d share.
Ben Folds is teh awesome!
Didn’t you post something along these lines a while ago? To which I said “how did you not know that”? Or something?
Indeed, I did. Last time was when I actually learned what the song was about, with this time simply expressing my surprise that someone would suggest it for a wedding song.
that’s what I thought but I wasn’t sure. Sting himself is amazed that people think that song is just the cat’s meow. The bee’s knees, if you will.
Anyway, Dani and I are probably going to have U2’s “All I Want is You” and Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” for our wedding songs. The funny part is that Dani was just over one year old when the Gabriel came out and roughly four when the U2 came out… and I was four and seven. So we’ll be getting married with music that I’m barely enough to remember the videos for on MTV… when MTV played videos.
