When you’re picking up food from a sit-down restaurant that also offers curbside pick-up (i.e., Chili’s To Go, in this case), do you add a tip onto the bill for the person carrying out the food or is it the equivalent to the drive-up window where a tip isn’t necessary??? The last couple of times we did this, I added on a couple of bucks just to err on the side of caution (and because I didn’t want to get out of the car!), but at the same time, there’s no drinks to keep filled or other ammenities to provide … pretty much just the walking food out to the car and taking my payment.
Thoughts? Insights? Clever banter?
Forget the tip! We can discuss this one over the telephone… it’s way too much to type/explain/complain about.
